What Is a Discount Calculator?
A discount calculator computes the final price after applying a percentage discount to an original price. It instantly shows you how much you save and what you actually pay. This tool also lets you compare savings across 8 common discount rates (5% to 50%) and calculate stacked double discounts where a second discount applies on top of the first.

FAQ
How do I calculate 20% off?
Enter the original price and type 20 in the discount rate field. The tool instantly shows you the savings and final price. For example, 20% off $100 = $20 savings, $80 final price.
Is 20% + 10% the same as 30% off?
No. When discounts are stacked, the second discount applies to the already-reduced price. 20% + 10% off $100 = $72 (not $70). The effective discount is 28%, not 30%. Use the Double Discount section to calculate this correctly.
Can I use this for tax-inclusive pricing?
This tool calculates simple percentage discounts. For tax calculations, enter the pre-tax price as the original price and calculate the discount from there.
What currencies are supported?
USD ($), EUR (€), GBP (£), JPY (¥), and KRW (₩). JPY and KRW are displayed without decimal places since they use whole number amounts.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. All calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. No data is transmitted anywhere.
